Geox Platform Disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to the Geox platform made available by ANOFA MÜHENDİSLİK PLANLAMA BİLİŞİM VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("ANOFA"). It explains the intended use of the platform, the limits of the information presented, and the responsibilities that remain with the user.

Last updated: May 8, 2026

1. Informational and exploratory use

Geox is a web-based mapping environment designed to help users access, visualise, compare, annotate, and export public geospatial information. It is intended for informational, screening, communication, and exploratory GIS workflows.

The platform is not represented as an official registry, cadastral record, statutory plan, engineering design tool, emergency warning system, or legally binding decision-support system unless ANOFA expressly agrees otherwise in writing for a separate project scope.

2. No engineering, planning, legal, or emergency advice

Outputs viewed through Geox must not be treated as a substitute for professional judgement. In particular, users should not rely on this platform alone for:

  • structural or geotechnical design decisions,
  • site-specific hazard certification,
  • regulatory or permitting submissions without independent verification,
  • life-safety, emergency, or mission-critical decisions, or
  • formal legal interpretation of land, data, or licensing rights.

Where a use case has technical, financial, regulatory, or safety consequences, the relevant source data, metadata, competent authority publications, and qualified experts should be consulted directly.

3. Third-party data and service dependency

Geox integrates external basemaps, tile services, WMS/WMTS layers, geocoding services, and other public resources supplied by third parties. Those resources may change, move, degrade, or become unavailable without notice. Their content, licensing, accuracy, completeness, resolution, and update frequency are controlled by the original providers, not by ANOFA.

ANOFA does not guarantee that every third-party layer shown through Geox is current, error-free, complete, suitable for a particular purpose, or continuously available.

4. Accuracy, scale, and interpretation

Map outputs depend on the scale, methodology, generalisation, and uncertainty of the underlying datasets. Visual overlay, legend interpretation, temporal comparison, and user-drawn annotations may create the impression of precision that exceeds the limits of the original data.

Users are responsible for checking dataset metadata, source documentation, capture dates, spatial resolution, and coordinate reference assumptions before making any material use of the information.

5. User uploads, annotations, and exports

Geox allows users to load local vector files and create map drawings and exports. Users are solely responsible for the legality, sensitivity, quality, and onward use of any content they load, generate, export, or share through their own workflows.

Users must ensure that they have the necessary rights to upload or process any third-party or personal data, and that any redistributed output preserves required source attribution and complies with applicable law and licence terms.

6. External links and provider policies

Links from Geox to external services are provided for convenience. Access to those services may be subject to separate terms, privacy notices, API rules, fair-use restrictions, and attribution obligations imposed by the relevant provider.

A separate Data Policy is provided to explain the main licensing and attribution principles that apply to the platform. Users should still review source-specific provider terms for any downstream reuse.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Geox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. ANOFA disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation in relation to the platform and to third-party data accessed through it.

ANOFA shall not be responsible for losses, delays, claims, or damages arising from reliance on map content, third-party services, user-generated content, temporary outages, or misuse of the platform, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
